MICA and the Islamic Community in New York will start prayers at 4:00pm Monday December 31, 2007, for our beloved Sheikh Salihou Mbacke we pray Allah to grant him paridise. We ask a special blessing on Sheikh Muhammad Lamin Bara Mbacke Fallilou may Allah grant him good health, long life, the best in this world as he tasks the reins as the new General Khalifa of the Muridiya. We extend our condolences to the Mbacke family and ask Allah to make it easy on them and all of us as we morn Sheikh Salilou Mbacke's death. This is a huge lose not only for the Murid community but the whole Islamic world and the African continent. His passing has left a huge void in our hearts and in the world. We ask all muslims to reflect on his good works propagating Islam and preseving and propagation his father, Sheikh Amadou Bamba teachings. Sheikh Salilou bestowed blessings upon us all.
